The Boston 370 is the 370th one-of-a-kind piece in Vortic's "Boston" line of the American Artisan Series. This watch contains the original movement (timepiece), dial (face), and hands from a vintage (1880’s – 1950’s) pocket watch. The American Artisan Series is a line of fully American Made wristwatches powered by restored, U.S. made pocket watch movements.
What makes the Boston 370 Unique: This watch is second to none, rare is the only word we can seem to use. We were baffled to find this dial and movement combination, not only still together but in the condition they are in as well. The dial features an extremely rare engraving in the center which actually sits on the dial as opposed to being engraved into the dial. The hand style are also rare in and of themselves, with the hollow square design towards the tip. You'll also notice on the dial and the movement the words "Premier" are inscribed which indicates the grade of movement Waltham used as well as suggesting this dial and movement have always been paired together. An art deco lovers dream, this movement was produced in 1925 by the Waltham Watch Company and a final rarity for this watch, is the cross-hatch pattern engraved on the movement. All of these individually rare aspects make for a literally one of a kind, Conversation Piece of a watch.
